SHIPPING POLICY
Last Updated: Sep 2026
Thank you for investing in original textile fine art from Kateryna Chernetska (“we”, “us”, “our”). Because each Artwork is a unique, irreplaceable, and valuable object crafted with canvas and threads, we handle the packaging and logistical process with professional care. This Shipping Policy explains how, when, and where we ship our Artworks and forms an integral part of our Terms & Conditions.
By finalizing your purchase on katerynachernetska.com, you accept the shipping framework, transit risk allocation, and international customs parameters outlined below.
1. GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE AND RESTRICTIONS
We ship worldwide directly from our art studio in the Netherlands.
Please note that certain destination countries or territories may be excluded from time to time due to circumstances beyond our operational control, including international courier restrictions, active regional conflict zones, or mandatory trade sanctions. In the rare event that our logistical carriers are unable to safely deliver to your specified location, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction and issue a full refund immediately.
2. PROCESSING AND PACKAGING TIMEFRAMES
As original textile creations, our Artworks are sensitive structural objects that require dedicated, multi-layer protective packaging before transit. Orders are prepared and transferred to our shipping carriers within three (3) to seven (7) business days following confirmed receipt of cleared payment.
Business days are defined as Monday through Friday, excluding official Dutch national holidays.
Larger multi-piece acquisitions or custom orders may require minor extensions to this handling timeframe. You will receive an automated notification featuring live tracking parameters as soon as your parcel is handed over to the courier.
3. LOGISTICAL CARRIERS, TRACKING, AND FULL INSURANCE
To guarantee maximum security, we ship exclusively through reputable global shipping networks (e.g., PostNL, DHL Express, FedEx, UPS). The specific carrier is selected dynamically based on the dimensions, weight, and destination of your order.
Safe Delivery & Tracking: Every original Artwork dispatched from our studio is shipped utilizing tracked, registered shipping services requiring a signature upon delivery. The Seller retains full responsibility for the safe delivery of the order until it is successfully handed over to the Buyer.
4. SHIPPING COST STRUCTURE
Due to the delicate nature and structural features of textile fine art, all Artworks are securely packaged using specialized protective materials to ensure safe transit. Final shipping rates are calculated dynamically at checkout based on the destination and package dimensions.
5. ESTIMATED DELIVERY WINDOWS
Estimated transit timeframes apply from the date of courier dispatch (not the transaction date). These timeframes are estimates supplied by logistical carriers and do not constitute legally binding delivery guarantees:
The Netherlands: 1–3 business days
European Union (EU): 3–7 business days
United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway: 5–10 business days
United States & Canada: 7–14 business days
Rest of the World: 10–21 business days (subject to local customs processing)
We accept no legal or financial liability for delivery delays resulting from unexpected customs clearance holds, industrial postal actions, or force majeure events.
6. CUSTOMS, DUTIES, AND INTERNATIONAL TAXES (NON-EU ORDERS)
For all deliveries outside the European Union (EU), the Buyer acts strictly as the official Importer of Record. The Buyer is exclusively responsible for paying all import duties, tariffs, local consumption sales taxes (such as regional VAT, GST, or State Sales Tax), and administrative customs clearance fees levied by the destination country. These fees are not calculated or collected at checkout by our store.
6.1 Mandatory Value Declarations
We declare each shipment accurately and at its full transaction value on all commercial invoices and customs declarations. We are legally prohibited from undervaluing artworks or marking international shipments as "gifts" on official customs documents. Doing so violates international trade laws and voids our transit insurance coverage.
If a parcel is abandoned, rejected, or returned to our studio in the Netherlands because the Buyer fails or refuses to pay localized import duties, the Buyer remains liable for all associated logistics costs. Any refund issued for a returned parcel will be reduced by the exact outbound shipping costs, return freight penalties, and administrative customs charges levied against us during the return journey.
7. DAMAGED OR LOST SHIPMENTS PROTOCOLS
7.1 Damaged on Arrival (Mandatory 48-Hour Protocol)
If a parcel arrives with visible exterior package damage:
Accept the package from the courier (do not reject it).
Take clear, high-resolution photographs of the damaged exterior packaging before opening.
Carefully unpack the item and take clear, high-resolution photographs of any structural damage to the textile Artwork itself.
Email all photographs along with your order details to info@katerynachernetska.com within forty-eight (48) hours of physical delivery.
This strict timeframe is mandatory to enable us to file a formal damage claim and secure compensation from the shipping carrier.
7.2 Lost in Transit
If your tracking parameters stop updating or the carrier reports a delay, please contact us at info@katerynachernetska.com. We will initiate a formal investigation with the courier. In accordance with international courier protocols, a shipment is officially declared lost following a mandatory investigation window (typically 10 to 30 business days). Once the carrier officially confirms loss, a complete refund or replacement arrangement will be issued immediately.
8. ADDRESS ACCURACY AND UNCLAIMED SHIPMENTS
The Buyer is solely responsible for providing an accurate, complete, and deliverable address at checkout. We are unable to modify delivery addresses once a parcel has been dispatched.
If a shipment is returned to us due to an inaccurate address provided by the Buyer, or because the recipient failed to collect the parcel from a local courier pickup point within the carrier's retention window, the transaction remains legally binding. The Buyer shall bear exclusive financial responsibility for paying all actual re-shipping fees required to send the Artwork a second time.
